Who we are

Nashira (nashira.live) is a fan notification service that emails you when artists you follow release music, announce concerts, or publish new videos. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello.nashira@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Nashira, we may collect:

  • Email address — when you subscribe to an artist or create an account.
  • Subscription preferences — which artists you follow, whether you want releases, concerts, or videos, and whether you prefer daily alerts or a weekly digest.
  • Account information — if you sign in, we receive your account identifier and email from our authentication provider (Clerk).
  • Spotify connection data — if you use bulk import, we store OAuth tokens needed to read your followed artists, top artists, recently played tracks (to suggest artists), and playlists. We do not store your Spotify password or full listening history.
  • Technical data — standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) used for security, rate limiting, and debugging.
  • Chrome extension data — if you use the Nashira browser extension, it reads artist names and platform-specific artist IDs (Spotify, YouTube Music, Tidal, or Qobuz, depending on the page) from the page you are viewing when you click "Scan this page". That information is sent to Nashira only when you click "Open in Nashira". The extension does not access your account passwords on these services, does not run in the background, and does not track your browsing outside pages you actively scan.

How we use your information

  • Send email notifications and digests you have requested.
  • Verify your email address before sending alerts.
  • Let you manage or unsubscribe from artists and notifications.
  • Link your account to your subscriptions when you sign in.
  • Import artists from Spotify when you explicitly connect your account.
  • Monitor public artist sources (such as Spotify, Ticketmaster, and YouTube) for new releases, tour dates, and videos.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the service.

Chrome extension

The optional Nashira Chrome extension works only on pages you open on open.spotify.com, music.youtube.com, tidal.com, and play.qobuz.com. When you choose to scan a page, the extension reads artist names and platform-specific artist IDs visible on that page. If you then click "Open in Nashira", those artists are sent to Nashira so you can subscribe on nashira.live. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising. You can stop using the extension at any time by removing it from your browser.

YouTube API Services

Nashira uses YouTube API Services to check public YouTube channels associated with artists you follow and detect new video uploads. We access only the information needed for this purpose. We do not download or redistribute YouTube video content. By using Nashira's video notifications, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's use of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. To delete your Nashira data, unsubscribe from all artists at /manage or email hello.nashira@gmail.com. You can revoke Nashira's access to your Google account (if applicable) via Google security settings.

Third-party services

We use trusted providers to run Nashira. They process data only as needed to provide their service to us:

  • Clerk (authentication)
  • Resend (transactional email)
  • Neon (database hosting)
  • Vercel (application hosting)
  • Inngest (background jobs)
  • Spotify, Ticketmaster, and YouTube APIs (public artist metadata)

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you want more detail about how they handle data.

Cookies and local storage

Nashira uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication sessions, import flows, and remembering your subscribe email on your device. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work without them.

How long we keep data

We keep your email, subscriptions, and preferences for as long as you use the service. If you unsubscribe from all artists and delete your account (or ask us to delete your data), we remove or anonymize personal information unless we must retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from a single artist using the link in any email.
  • Manage all subscriptions from your account at /manage.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing hello.nashira@gmail.com.

Children

Nashira is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Nashira after changes means you accept the updated policy.
